TAIPEI, Taiwan – Mar. 14, 2007 - Animation Technologies Inc. (8060,Taiwan), a pioneer in developing industry-first video multimedia solutions sold under the LifeView brand, will present their newly developed next-generation TV tuners at this year’s CeBIT show. These cards utilize the latest NXP chipset to provide enhanced reception sensitivity and power savings, as well as an improved thermal design.

ExpressCard: HDTV and analog TV in a single card – Laptop PC owners can now add both digital terrestrial and analog TV reception to their new notebook with LifeView’s FlyTV Express M3 ExpressCards. Following the ExpressCard 34 form factor, these TV cards can be used in any ExpressCard slot, even those on ultra-portable notebooks. The FlyTV Express M3 MST-TA Hybrid uses a silicon DVB-T tuner that is compatible with all DVB-T standards worldwide (6/7/8 MHz), and the FlyTV Express M3 MST-UA Hybrid’s ATSC tuner can receive HDTV programming from both over the air(OTA) and QAM broadcasts. By using the included portable antenna, users can experience mobile TV viewing. Low power consumption helps users watch TV longer, and the improved reception sensitivity allows for TV viewing even in less than perfect viewing environments. Both of these cards use a silicon analog TV tuner with support for worldwide TV and stereo sound standards, ensuring that users can receive all available channels in their area. They also have S-Video and composite video inputs so users can watch and record video from external video sources, and FM radio reception is also included.

Mini Card: Integrates media PC capabilities into any laptop – LifeView’s Mini Cards give system builders a simple way to add TV functionality to any laptop, turning their notebook design into a mobile media PC, all by simply adding a single card. The FlyTV Express Mini MST-TA Hybrid and FlyTV Express Mini MST-UA Hybrid can tune in to DVB-T and ATSC broadcasts(respectively) as well as analog TV and FM radio programming. Designers will welcome the low power consumption, which enables them to build a media PC laptop without sacrificing battery life. The low heat design also helps designers as they don’t have to worry about the TV card making an impact on their thermal management. A/V pins allow for the addition of S-Video and composite video inputs, should the builder wish to step up their design from a media PC to a mobile video studio.

USB 2.0: Simple yet powerful, functional yet economical – An updated version of their TV Walker Q design, the TV Walker Q2 retains the portability and easy to use characteristics of its predecessor while improving its functionality through integration of the new chipset. Both desktop and laptop PC users can benefit from its simple installation procedure – simply plug it in, load the software and then watch TV. Laptop users in particular can take advantage of the low power consumption and enhanced reception sensitivity, allowing them to enjoy the latest shows on the go. Furthermore, the TV Walker Q2 will be priced very competitively, providing customers with a low-cost way to enjoy digital TV programming.

LifeView will be presenting these products as well as the rest of their new product lines at the CeBIT show in Hall 21, Booth No. C22 (1).
